Top Hat - What is a top hat on a shed?

 

Top Hat is used for the roof purlins and wall girts. Top Hat varies in size with the main sizes used in the shed industry being: TH64075, TH64100, TH96075, TH96100, TH120120. The size of Top Hat to be used will be determined by the engineer according to the size of the building and wind load on the building.
