Ordering & Manufacture FAQs

There are a few ways you can get a quote and order one of our sheds or kit homes:
1. Call 1800 821 033 and enter your postcode, you will be connected with your nearest store who can quote over the phone.
2. Submit your project information via our Quote Request form.
3. Visit your nearest store during opening hours.
Your shed kit will only begin to be manufactured once you have confirmed your order with your local store. Manufacture takes approximately 4 weeks.
Once you place your kit home order and the manufacturing process is started it will take approximately 6-8 weeks for your kit to arrive onsite. You should allow approximately 26 weeks to bring your new home to life (from start to finish).
All sheeting (roof and wall), flashings, frame work, fasteners, gutters, downpipes and accessories are included in your kit cost. You will also receive all relevant engineering documents for the shed for you to submit to council. A complete step-by-step instruction guide, designed specifically for your shed, is also included in the price.
All BlueScope Steel products supplied by THE Shed Company are provided with a BlueScope Steel warranty of up to 15 years against perforation in the natural elements. Please visit the BlueScope Steel website to review all terms and conditions of this warranty.
EasyShed provides a 20 year structural warranty with their range of garden sheds.
BOM refers to Bill of Materials and is the document which contains all the materials that make up the building kit. This list includes brackets, fixings, structural steel, sheeting and flashings as well as the quantities of these items needed to manufacture your end result.
Steel fabrication is a value adding manufacturing process of converting raw material into finished steel building components. Involving welding, cutting, bending and assembling the metal to create structural frames and parts for buildings. Our steel kit buildings are fabricated to each customer's order.
