Next generation ZINCALUME® steel’s patented Activate® technology introduces magnesium into the aluminium-zinc alloy coating, improving galvanic protection by activating the aluminium. The result is a tougher protective coating that's more resistant to scratches and scuffs encountered during construction.
The protective coating innovation of ZINCALUME® steel AM125 increases the product's lifespan whilst using fewer metal resources. Over a 17 year period, more than 5,000 panels have been tested in a wide variety of laboratory and ‘real world’ climatic conditions.
Additionally 50 building sites, comprising a wide range of applications, as well as five purpose built test structures have been tested in the real world, including extreme marine environments. The result is confidence that next generation ZINCALUME® steel is more durable and more resilient.
